A couple of years ago, when I went searching for specific tips, tools and tricks to help me level up my marriage. I read books, I searched the internet, I watch YouTube...But the information I found was...shall I say...lacking! The information also was not particularly relevant to the unique challenges of today’s modern marriages with both people juggling the pressures of working outside the home, living up to societal pressures of those ”perfect” homes, bodies, and all other kinds of expectations that comes from social media. And speaking of social media, what about all the ”temptations”, instant access and just overall problems that come along with it. What was out there tended to be fluffy statements like ”be more loving” or ”communicate more”, or the God-awful advice of ”Never go to bed angry”-like anybody can solve anything when they are exhausted... No wonder the divorce rate is where it’s at! I’m the kind of person who needs specifics. Tell me exactly what to do! but there was nothing out there, so I created my own tips, tools and tricks. But the question I’m sure you are all wondering is...Did it work? And to that, I would say. YES! Not only did my techniques work... they also worked fast! Now I am taking my journey, those lessons, and am here to help marriages and relationships, not only survive, but to thrive. Are you a married man stuck in a sexless marriage for years—or even decades? You’re not alone. In this in-depth video, we explore the heartbreak of sexless marriages, a major source of unhappiness for countless husbands. Why do men stay? The top reasons I hear in the comments are: 1) wanting to raise their kids, 2) fearing financial ruin from divorce, or 3) honoring a faith-based vow to God.
This video is tailored for Christian men, though all are welcome, as we dig into scripture—Matthew 5:32, 1 Corinthians 7, Genesis 2:24—to uncover what the Bible says about sex, divorce, and marital duties.
We tackle tough questions: Does withholding sex count as sexual immorality (porneia)? Is it abandonment? Jesus in Matthew 5:32 allows divorce for sexual immorality, but translations vary—adultery, fornication, or broader unlawful lust (from the Greek porneia). Meanwhile, Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 insists sex is a marital duty, not optional, to guard against temptation and foster emotional connection. Yet, many churches sidestep men’s needs, focusing only on women’s perspectives, leaving faithful husbands lost when wives reject intimacy.
From Genesis 2:24’s “one flesh” union to Jesus confronting the Pharisees in Matthew 19, we examine God’s original design for marriage—a sacred covenant of mutual love, not just physical but emotional unity. Historical context matters: in Jesus’ time, women couldn’t divorce, and no-fault divorce left them destitute. Today, is staying in a loveless, sexless marriage what God intends? Or does Paul’s abandonment principle (1 Corinthians 7:15) apply when a wife emotionally checks out?
